Miguel Ángel Ruso, llegaba a Boca para ganar, y así fue, el único título que consiguió fue la Copa Libertadores 07´, con una figura importante como Riquelme, y brillando como siempre Palermo, entre otros, Boca jugó los octavos con Vélez, en la ida le ganó 3-0, y en la vuelta perdió 3-1, pero se clasificó. En los cuartos, le tocó contra Libertad, empató 1-1, y después ganó 2-0, en la semifinal, Boca perdió 3-1 frente al Cucuta, y en la vuelta bajo la neblina, ganó 3-0. En la final, en la ida le ganó 3-0 a Gremio, y en la vuelta, otra vez, en Brasil, ganó 2-0 y se consagró campeón.
